Honor has finally unveiled the Honor 9X Lite which is the affordable version of the Honor 9X and the Honor 9X Pro that was announced last year.

The phone comes in a nice and attractive body design bringing in a large display, impressive cameras, and also enough onboard storage as well.

Design and Display

The Honor 9X Lite has a nice body design. At first, you might mistake this for a Nokia phone. However, looking closely you will notice the striking resemblance with the Honor 8X that was announced last year.

It features a smooth panel housing the camera, an LED flash, and a fingerprint sensor. The entire body measures 160.4 x 76.6 x 7.8 mm in dimensions and weight 175 grams.
The Honor 9X Lite is available in Black and Green color shade.

On the front, it has a wide notch with a small amount of bezel which is not that bad. The Honor 9X Lite has an expansive 6.5-inch FullView FHD+ display with a resolution of 2340 x 1080 pixels.

It comes in a 19:5:9 aspect ratio and 84.4% screen-to-body ratio. There is a 2.5D curved glass on top to protect the screen from crack and scratches.

Camera

For photography, the smartphone has a combo camera setup housed in a rectangular module aligned vertically at the top left corner of the panel. The first primary camera is a 48MP main sensor and a 2MP depth sensor.

At the front, it packs a single camera of 16MP. The main camera is paired with an LED flash, HDR, and panorama. Meanwhile, both the back and front camera can shoot the same video quality of 2K.

Hardware and Software

On the inside, the phone has Octa-Core Kirin 710 chipset paired with 4GB of RAM with Mali-G51 MP4 for graphics related issues. It has a single inbuilt storage of 128GB which is expandable via micro SD card.

For the user interface, it runs on EMUI 9.1 based on the Android 9 operating system. Hopefully, an upgrade to the latest Android version will be released soon.

Battery and Network

Keeping the light on is a nonremovable battery capacity of 3750mAh with support for 10W charging.

The phone has a dual SIMs with 4G LTE Network and USB Type-C fast-charging port. Other features include Wi-Fi 802.11 ac (2.4GHz / 5GHz), Bluetooth 4.2, and GPS + GLONASS for location tracking.

Honor 9X Lite Price and Availability

The Honor 9X Lite is now available on Honor’s Finland website for $215 for the entire European market. You can pre-order the device starting from April 30. Buyers who register purchase before June 30 will receive Honor Band 5 as a gift.

Hopefully, the phone will be available in other markets as well. Well, when that happens, it will cost about 85,000 Naira to get it in Nigeria.

Those in Ghana will buy the Honor 9X Lite at a price of about 1,400 Ghs and 25,000 Ksh in Kenya.
